DHS' Cheer team in 2020 had 4 members. In May 2021 tryouts resulted in 24 AMAZING young ladies determined to help grow the program and ramp up our school spirit. The goal was to make sure our school and other athletic programs knew we were there to support them. The cheer team will attend competition in February 2022, the first one in YEARS! Technology is wonderful now and we have the ability to organize our routines on an iPad with great programs. We can store all of our cheers, download all of the music that we have to purchase, these can be used in the future as well. The music has to be licensed and the iPad will create a storage space for all of this with easy access to whoever has the team. Formations can be organized and we can watch safe stunting videos and new stunting techniques that will really help us elevate our routines making us competitive with other Northern Nevada schools. DHS is not used to seeing such amazing things happen with this program. We are excited to show our school what cheer is REALLY about!
