Sight words are words that are commonly seen in text. Having these sight word journals will expose my learners to the words. This will help them be able to identify the words while participating in daily classroom instruction or when reading at an independent learning station. The sight word journals will be used daily as part of our literacy instruction. These journals will help to support students in learning sight words and applying the words to their reading and writing. Each student having their own journal will help to keep the learning experience more engaging.
