These materials will help my students read, write and improve cognitive, fine motor and language skills. Sensory toys help motivate my students to persevere through difficult lessons. Manipulatives assist them in accessing the curriculum in concrete ways since they have difficulty learning skills like their general education peers. Fine Motor items help my students increase their muscle endurance since handwriting is difficult for them. The variety of manipulatives challenge students to participate in learning activities so they don't get bored. Some will be used for Math; others for acquiring Literacy skills.
