Learning and memorizing multiplication facts can be challenging for a lot of students, but is so important when moving into multi-digit multiplication in fourth grade. Likewise, having a strong foundation in number sense is essential for students as they explore how to problem-solve through a challenging math problem. I received a multiplication pop it this year from a student as a holiday gift. It was a big hit in my classroom. Students who struggled using a paper multiplication table found it easy to use, engaging, and helpful in memorizing their multiplication facts. With only one pop it to share amongst 24 students, I decided to look for a way that I could bring this item to all of my students. Moreover, we spend a lot of time in my 4th grade classroom working on number sense, solving logic puzzles, and identifying number patterns. I was SOOOOOO excited to see the pop it could be purchased as a 100s chart. I believe both items will help elevate many of my lessons by offering students a hands-on and engaging way to practice and build fact fluency and number sense. We will be able to use our pop its during small group time, partner work, and during RTI time. They were very excited to hear that I was writing this proposal for these materials and can't wait to hear back. Thank you so much!
