Students are active and love hands-on learning! They need opportunities to problem solve, work in partners/groups and feel successful creating a project together. I believe that giving my students time to build and create will transfer into their critical thinking skills in all their academic subjects, as well as grow their self confidence. This would become part of my rotation during math and reading workshop. That means each student would have an opportunity at least once per week to participate in this station.
