These book sets will support my scholars by providing them with reading material at various levels. As a first-year special education teacher, I am noticing that many of the grade-level materials are not YET suitable for my scholars to be successful in reaching their reading goals. Working together with my scholars, we have compiled a list of high-interest books that will be sure to engage them and get them reading. A few ways I plan to use these sets are for instructional purposes, during small groups, independent reading, and as a resource for reading assessments. I want all of my scholars to see themselves as a reader! By supporting these efforts you are giving my scholars a pathway to obtaining optimal reading growth. Without equity of resources, there is an inequity of achievement. Thank you for your support in providing equity in our learning environment.
