With this project I am thinking outside the box with outdoor learning. Students at our school, especially my special education students, love to be outdoors. What better way to incorporate what they love than with a little learning outdoors. With these materials, I intend to set up the display stands and benches throughout the playground to bring learning to the outdoors. The display stands can contain pages from a book for a story walk where students move from one display to the next, reading or listening to one part of the story at each display. Displays can also be used to share information about various content that the students are learning about, such as Native Americans, plant life, poetry, etc.
