My students come from middle income homes, many of which are hard working, military families. They are beautiful, happy, smart, resilient children who have a zest for learning when supplied with the right amount of care and resources. They love nothing more than to listen to stories being read. And I love reading stories to them, but I never feel like I have enough time to expose them to as much literature as they need in a day.
