Many of my students are not on grade level and use materials online to do independent work while I do rotations with reading groups. They need headphones to hear their work clearly and keep from disturbing the rest of their classmates. I had some very cheap headphones at the beginning of the year that have literally fallen apart due to daily use. I have had to have them take turns using the 4 working headphones we have left if they do not have ones of their own. A good classroom set of headphones would last me several years.
