These materials will make it easier for the students to visit our classroom library and choose books to borrow. Many of them do not go to the public library anymore. Having an organized library would help guide the students to the genre of choice. They would be able to see a basket of all books from their favorite author or all books that they can read on the right level. Right now the books are all over the place unorganized. It is very hard for the students to find their favorite books. With all the different baskets I can make a basket of just piggy and elephant books and a basket of just Pete the cat books. Having them to choose their own books will make them excited about reading. My goal is to give them a love of reading and introduce them to many authors and genres.
