This year my fourth graders recently acquired a new STEM block into their day. We were given no materials to work with. I have bought several items for this block, but would really like to make it technology rich. The DASH Robot will give students an experience with computer programing. We do not have a computer lab or computer class so students need as much experience as we can give them. With a Dash robot students will use a programming language known as Blocky, which involved dragging and dropping blocks and is super easy to understand. It will allow students to have success at an intro level with computer programing and they will learn to love Math and Robots. DASH will also help students to gain creativity, work collaboratively, and gain critical thinking skills. DASH can be programmed to go through a maze, draw, and more! Students eyes will light up when they see what they can do with this robot!
