Providing calculators to my students while in the classroom, will help them to stay focused and concentrate on the task at hand. Most of my students are using digital copies of the textbook to work out of and having to switch tabs back and forth every time they need to make a calculation. It is a distraction and accidentally closing the tab and losing their work is frustrating to almost anyone. It will also alleviate the uncertainty of whether they are using the calculator on their phones to help solve math problem or if they are just connecting to social media apps.
