My students come from an impoverished neighborhood in the south Bronx and receive free lunch due to their low income. Even though the neighborhood isn't a positive nor an inspiring neighborhood they all prefer to go to school instead of staying at home. My students are under two classifications which are being bilingual and being in a special education setting. This places them at a twice disadvantage but we strive everyday to make the best of their learning experience. I try my best to expose them to as many things as I can being that the majority of them haven't gone outside of the bronx.
