Our English Learner population is about 80%. They live in a valley where the dairy industry is prevalent. Our students are aware of their environment and are curious about how healthy our water is. This will be a school activity where students will travel in the school van to collect water in the areas surrounding the dairy. Students will bring back water supplies and plan and execute experiments to examine the content of the water. Students will use a filtration kit to examine the level of contamination. Students will also make slides to use microscopes to examine the water and its purity. Students will evaluate water content and write proposals to the community of their results and suggest proposed solutions if needed.

About my class
