AIM stands for Archers in the Making. Our department serves as a resource to enrich students’ lives through core value development during their time at Amplus Academy. We are based out of our school's student support center created to offer guidance with social and emotional learning, academic challenges, relationship building, and character development. AIM works to provide a welcoming environment for all students through awareness of the diverse needs and backgrounds of the campus and broader community. Major components of classical education include high moral expectations and a desire to help students develop good citizenry. The AIM department focuses on several core values: intellect, leadership, integrity, respect, service, responsibility, kindness, creativity, and determination. Through educationally grounded, weekly lessons, our team strives to uphold these standards while meeting K-12 students where they’re at and guiding them to discover their own strengths. Both elementary and secondary resources of the AIM department teach students to recognize and exemplify these values, contributing to classroom management and the creation of a positive, healthy school culture. Our newest school program, Ingenium, debuted at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. A Latin word, Ingenium is a way to refer to one’s inner self—something our students are always striving to mold and shape for the better. The purpose of the Ingenium curriculum is to guide students through weekly values clarification exercises and teach relevant skills they can take with them throughout the next phases of their lives. The purpose of this Donor's Choose campaign is to assist teachers in our Ingenium department with giving the best-possible educational experiences to our students.
