With Project-Based Learning units, I incorporate novels to allow students to explore and investigate characters, conflicts, resolutions, and the theme of fictional narratives. This particular novel, "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind", provides the experience of a boy who is surrounded by drought and poverty. However, through perseverance and brilliant ideas, he is able to create a wind turbine/mill to generate energy for his village. This donation will help my students bridge the connection and the importance of climate change and renewable energy through empathy and a growth mindset.
