I am extremely fortunate to be teaching 1st grade. Reading is an essential part of this grade level. Students will benefit from working with the letters as they are learning the sounds and how to blend them. We will be using these materials while working in small groups. Students will practice putting sounds together and breaking them apart. They will write words using the sounds they are learning on their whiteboards. I am proud to be working on learning and practicing research-based methods to make lots of great readers!
