Many of my students are still developing reading skills. The guided reading library in my classroom does not provide enough variety of texts. These texts will be used to help them learn non fiction features such as headings, table of contents, etc. The text will also be paired with fiction texts so students are able to learn a variety of comprehension skills. I also hope to build students' interest with characters they are familiar with and provide texts on topics they would like to learn more about. These are books that will get them excited to read!
