These resources are going to make a huge difference in our 2nd grade classroom. They will create an environment in which students are excited about learning. Independent work in my classroom is vital. Students will be able to sit on the sofa when they are quietly reading to themselves. This is a huge incentive for them and they will not only love it but it will help them read more and love reading. I use this time to offer interventions to those students that are falling behind. With interventions I'm able to help more students thrive in 2nd grade. For example, when I'm working one on one with a student, the others will enjoy working independently playing with the games in this project that will help enrich their learning. This gives me the freedom to work with those who need me and not ignore those that have the ability to work independently. Having fun, like playing these games or playing on the Math device helps students learn more. The more they associate learning with a positive experience, the more success they will have learning in the future. I will help my students have a bright future by providing a solid foundation.
