My students will be able to create in a way that is important for their development. This will in turn support their social emotional wellness at school. Artistic expression allows for an opportunity to develop the whole child. My students will be able to try out new ideas & new ways of thinking. They will refine their problems solving skills without even realizing it! There really isn't anything better than allowing a student to safely try something new & their pride when they see they created something they never thought they'd be able to do! I offer a creation station every week in which I want my students to explore different mediums such as air dry clay, watercolors, collages with different textures, and more.
