I plan to use the raised beds, garden tools and soil for a hands-on gardening experience for my students. My students will be able to see what work goes into growing food, preparing the land, maintaining a garden and harvesting. Students will get a first-hand look at what it takes to grow food. They will also be able to see how a plant goes from a seed to a seedling, and finally to a mature plant. We will document and analyze the growth of plants and the things it takes to be successful in growing our own food.
