In first grade we do a lot of work as a group either whole group or small group. Students either sit on the floor or at a table and work with myself or another adult. My classroom is the only classroom in my building with a tile floor and we would love a rug to sit on instead of the tile floor. While working in small groups at the table the students need stools to sit on so more students can meet with an adult at once. Having a rug and stools to sit on will help instruction and allow students to have their own personal space.
