Our classroom is primarily made up of special needs children. The children's disabilities range from autism to downs syndrome, we even have some higher functioning children with developmental delay as their only diagnosis. These gift cards will be used as an incentive to get the children to follow directions to the best of their abilities. Rewarding behavior for special needs children can be a great way to get them to achieve new goals in their daily routines. In our classroom most of the children are not potty-trained so rewarding them for a simple task would be an enormous gift to them.
