I am a first year teacher and have now had some time to build rapport with each of my students and learn about their likes and dislikes. This project includes items that will better help them succeed in my classroom. For an example, during our small groups we complete at their tables requires, them to sit for about 8-12 minutes. This is very hard for this age. The fidget bands on their chairs will allow them to fidget appropriately and retain the information that is presented to them. The doorbell will be used to grab their attention and when I need to make announcements. You will see many other organizational items that will help me to be better prepared thus providing stronger instruction. I also want to provide a clean environment for my students. This is why I have requested an air purifier to help keep everyone just a little more safe during these odd times due to the current pandemic.
