My students will be able to have materials assigned to them individually so they can use them throughout the day in all their classes without having to worry about sharing materials during the pandemic. I will be able to label them to ensure each student has access to what they need and can use them in any classes to meet their learning needs. This way students can check out their assigned materials without worrying about other students causing damage or spreading germs. Students will be able to practice using their accommodations more easily and will be more prepared to advocate for themselves in high school. Students in my classes have learning disabilities that make it difficult to read grade level texts. Having individual headphones will allow them to listen to audiobooks of the texts and utilize assistive technology such as speech to text and text to speech. Students will be able to practice using these accommodations in the resource room with support and then bring headphones into other classes to be fully included when learning about grade level content.
