I do a jump rope unit for my students several weeks each year wherein they learn the basics of jump roping and then progress through a series of different skills. Sadly, the ropes that I have to work with are showing their age and are in desperate need of replacing. This project would not only grant me the necessary ropes but would also add in a collection of medicine balls that I plan on using with the various grade levels I work with. Medicine ball workouts are safe and incredibly helpful for students as they engage multiple muscle groups and can be a fun way to engage reluctant learners.
