The grant money would be used to set up resource centers for the English language learners in our school. Computer centers would give our English language learners the ability to listen to language programs and engage in related lessons. They gain the opportunity to interact with educational websites and complete interactive simulations. The students’ education can be tailored to their needs by using Khan Academy, Flocabulary, Nearpod, and Google Digital Activities, to name a few. In addition to the computer center, students would have access to board games such as Scrabble, Bananas, and card games that would give them language practice and exposure to functional text. These centers would give a wide variety of experience with the English language and ample opportunities to practice.
