Autism comes with its challenges! One of which is understanding feelings and emotions. This corner of my classroom will have opportunities to complete both physical and picture activities to help understand what the child is feeling and how to resolve the distress. Some of the things used are items with and assortment of textures and colors. The stepping stones I chose will be helpful in putting pressure on the kiddos’ feet as they step, promote core balance and strength, and place their minds elsewhere other than the more focused behaviors. We would love to add more items to our corner in the future, so please watch for more opportunities for our classroom!
