Effective teaching supports the whole child. Thus, the items I have selected for our classroom are items that promote my students' cognitive and physical development. The tabletop write and erase maps of the world will give my students opportunities to map countries across oceans from where they go to school. The stamps and ink pads will give them another touch point with spelling words and creating sentences. As writing is crucial, the process writing folder will help them organize their writings. The scooters and the basketball hoop will give them ways to "take a break" in the classroom to celebrate learning successes and the release of endorphins to put more positive feelings in the atmosphere.
