I currently teach third grade English/Language Arts Intervention. There are 16 students in the class and most read on a first grade level. Unfortunately, students are not able to access the books provided for their grade level. Some students have expressed that the books we have in class are boring, other students have grown frustrated with the classroom library selection. It is my goal to fill our classroom with books students want to read, and can read independently. I would also like decodable books that I can use during guided reading lessons to help improve reading and phonics skills.
