Our classroom does not have a functional library. I want to implement a FVR (Free Voluntary Reading) program in my Spanish classrooms and need an Spanish library of age- and level-appropriate materials (stories in Spanish). I want to make reading part of our daily weekly routine (10 minutes a day) with clear expectations and follow-up activities. Students will submit reading log with summary, reading reflection and entry journal to show understanding and vocabulary gains. Students choose what they want to read, they get the book and sit down. Reading will speed up the process of learning Spanish, will help them to gain vocabulary and will motivate them to stay engage in class.
