COVID restrictions have pushed me to adjust how I teach my students and pushed my students to adjust how they learn. It has been quite an incredible journey that my students and I have taken, adapting to the changes and challenges we face trying to learn during a pandemic. I want to provide my students with more than just the standard paper and pencil version of learning, and the supplies in this project will help me do that. The social/emotional stories are fun ways to teach my students these necessary life skills, and the desk chair will help in my ability to continue to deliver this instruction to my students. The white boards and easel are going to be used to teach phonics and reading skills to students. As a special education teacher, the SEL books will be used to provide a fun way to learn about emotions and interacting with others. The chair will help me continue my ability to teach, as well as having a "special" chair the students can earn with good behavior.
