There are many benefits to playing board games, especially in a school setting. Students not only have an opportunity to flex there logical thinking, but can also work on the soft skills like teamwork, patience, and how to win and lose gracefully. Board games can also improve language skills and cognitive development. Playing games such as these work the frontal lobe of our brains which is responsible for executive function skills, like planning, organizing, and making good decisions. They may also help anxious kids learn how to navigate friendships more easily because they're structured and provide an easier way to build interpersonal relationships with peers.
