These books will allow my students to practice the phonics skills they are learning in whole group lessons and increase their comprehension abilities. According to SoR, or the Science of Reading research, children learn best when they are able to attach the sounds and letters to meaning.... which means READING! Kids need at bats/practice in order to become great readers. These books will help my students to SoR into reading! My students are amazing and they deserve the chance to become the best that the city of DC has ever seen!
