Our school will be celebrating Black Children's Book Week during the week of 02-27 - 03/05/22. We will explore various children's books that are written by Black authors or feature Black characters. The materials for this project will be used as our culminating activity for the week. Our school also has specific goals around increasing our students' skills and abilities in writing. These materials will allow our students to practice and apply their writing skills as they become authors and create their own original books. We also hope that will increase students love of literacy and encourage them to continue writing and reading outside of school.

About my class
