Next month is Dr. Seuss' birthday, so we planned a birthday party in his honor. We invited our families and estimated about 150-200 children and family members to attend this literacy based event. We ran into a "bump" in the road! Our plan was to order many Dr. Seuss books from our district's area library. Then, children could enjoy reading various Dr. Seuss books with their families before eating birthday cake at the birthday party! However, our area library informed us they could only loan our school 20 books. It seems ALL schools in our district request Seuss books around this time of year. The school library can loan us 20 books and the staff have some books, but...and this is where my request comes in. It would be SO GREAT if someone could donate about 50 Seuss books (or any Seuss books would be greatly appreciated) before March first! There will be at least 150 people attending. We have a student body of 500. Thanks for considering this priceless opportunity.
