Given the limited amount of resources available to our school and district, I have spent a lot of my own money to make my classroom a warm, welcoming environment for my students. However, it is in dire need of a refresh as I sit here 8 years later. A new carpet for students to sit on comfortably instead of dirty puzzle mats, a new calendar for students to learn with instead of a broken one from 6 years ago, some new sensory toys to assist students with special needs in staying focused during learning. This project may not seem like anything extravagant to you, but to my students and I - making our classroom a warm, welcoming home would mean the world to us.

About my class
