My classroom is a positive learning environment where everyone feels welcome, love, respect and safe. Students are free to bring their creativeness to life by, "Thinking outside of the box." The classroom seating is arranged in groups where cooperative learning takes place. Students work together to accomplish shared goals and motivate group members to help and support each other. They learn to listen to what others have to say, give and receive help, reconcile differences, and resolve problems democratically. The classroom is managed using the C.H.A.M.P.S. method to help design a proactive and positive classroom management plan that will clearly teach students how to behave responsibly. Most of the students are in need of basic classroom supplies such as scissors, paper, glue, spiral notebooks and colored pencils to create an interactive notebook that will be used as a valuable study guide for assessments.
