When learning letters and sounds it's important for students to be creative. They love to explore and do things that are out of the ordinary. My students are able to trace, write and create with letters in many different ways. These materials will help my students expand and explore letters through hands-on learning. With these alphabet activities, my students will be able to choose a variety of ways to learn their letters and sounds. Why teach about the alphabet? As young learners they are developing a understanding of letters and the relationship to words. Learning letter names helps students learn letter sounds. This helps with success in reading later on.
