Our students have been labeled of having an emotional disturbance and have difficulty regulating their emotions when the effects of their childhood trauma arise. The noise canceling headphones will help the students in the classroom to stay focused on their on their lessons and will allow them ignore the environmental factors in the classroom that they can not control. The headphones will also be beneficial to the classroom because my students do not own their own personal headphones. I have purchased headphones in the past to give to my students, but they were not great quality and broke after a couple usages.
