The laptops will be used to help students in this small community take place in the growing competitive esports scene. Esports has many STEM benefits such as using team-work to problem solve and analyzing data. Esports will also encourage more students to be active participants in school. Students of today are in a different world than even 10 years ago. We need to meet the students where they are. We can use esports to reach more students, and provide them more opportunity to further develop their skills. Illinois may have forgotten about these kids, but let's show them we haven't.
