Books in the classroom will make a difference in my students' learning. They had almost a year where they were learning from home and many didn't have access to actual books to hold and read. Many students started 2nd grade and didn't know how to hold and open a book. Children need to see and touch actual books. Yes, we have online resources that allow children to read books on the computer, but they won't have the same experience. By having a classroom library they will be able to read more books.
