Flexible seating allows students to learn about themselves in an authentic way. They are able to make choices that they think will help them to stay engaged and focused. Currently, I allow my students to do what they feel is best by standing while working or sitting on the floor instead of at their desk. However, without the necessary seating options, it is really difficult to make sure the students are comfortable with their desired seating option. It is noticable which students would do best with a soft cushion on the floor, or a wobble stool at a table.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and much happier when they are given chioces in their work enviroment.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective and comfortable learning choices. The wobble stools will allow movement that isn't disruptive to otheres. The cushioned floor seats will help those who want to sit, kneel, or even those belly writers! They are lightweight and can be moved around easily. The stationary stools will allow students the freedom to sit at a higher table or stand and use the stool as a desk. The possibilities are endless!
