Students in my Educators Rising Club will read and discuss this novel and the power of connection. Our chats will focus on how they can be the best teachers in the future; teachers who cover the academics but truly understand the importance of bonds and connections between students and teachers. The readings will take place on their own time, in their own homes, we will then come together and work through the story, in a book club setting. We will discuss what we read and how it plays a role in the lives of students and teachers.
