Kids need play and time to interact, develop social skills, and relearn academic skills now more than ever. It is vital that our students have an inviting meeting space so that we can support their reading development as well as foster relationships among peers. Currently, students enjoy reading during their library time by sitting at tables. I would like to create a welcoming, comfortable reading space to foster a love of reading with cozy couches. This library space will be used daily, not only for reading during library times, but also as a flexible learning space where students can work together or with staff on academic skills. We are in desperate need of a special library space to create a positive, inclusive, and social learning space. Please help me as I strive to help my students make this the best school year yet!
