At our school, we have an eighty-acre school forest. Currently, this forest is underutilized and overgrown. We are working to harvest and use our forest in order to give students a great hands-on experience. We are planning to create a tree identification area, firearm safety and education, hiking trails, and wildlife identification practice for our students. This will help us serve our students and utilize our resources. Students need to be exposed to the resources that surround them while learning how to properly manage the world around them. Aside from serving our students, this project will also serve our community by offering a family-friendly area for outdoor recreation.

About my class
