The Castle/party items will be used for a Knights of the Round Table culminating event to take place after the class finishes reading the novel King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. This event will help bring the novel to life. The classroom will be decorated to resemble the time period. Students will be discussing the setting of the story and how it added to the plot. Students will be eating and drinking like the knights of the Round Table. The informational text books will be used for a research project. Students will use one of the books to research a nonfiction topic. They will then spend 2 weeks going through the informative writing process.
