Being special needs, my students are very interactive and sensory-driven. We love that as their staff on this campus we can play a part in helping them learn in new ways. They have the opportunity to work towards art incentives or interactive classroom seating. The classroom seating options help students with certain disorders focus better when sitting at a table. It is the ultimate reward to watch your students achieve assignments or things they didn't think was possible. To watch them begin to believe in themselves is such a prize! The items on our list will not only allow me to teach in an interactive environment but also in a clean environment. My students love to work toward incentives like Lego building, painting, and origami. These activities also contribute to helping create a calming environment for their behaviors while still also being educational, and stimulating for them!
