While some of our students are able to eat at home and appease their hunger at school, others struggle to find enough food to fuel themselves for the whole day. This makes it difficult for those students to focus on school when their basic needs aren't met. Their learning time competes with their body's need for food. Hungry students with access to snacks throughout the day are more likely to remain in class and have an easier time comprehending the lesson. This will lead to higher achievement and more passing grades amongst our student body, many of whom have come to us because they struggled to learn and pass classes at their previous school.
