Students today live in an "iWorld" full of technology. An iPad in the classroom will spark interest and create enthusiasm that will yield students an advantage in the areas of scholastic achievement, literacy, and technology. The iPad allows access to numerous applications that teach children skills and make reading fun and easy with visual illustrations and hands on activities. The iPad, with its touch capabilities, will also allow my kindergarten students to complete benchmark assessments at greater ease with just a touch and slide as opposed to clicking and dragging with two hands on a desktop. This will enable students of this young age to focus on their goals and complete basic tasks, rather than being easily distracted and frustrated with technology skills required by older students and adults.
